Dubai private schools report 3.5% growth in student enrolment

Dubai, Nov 9, 2021: Dubai private schools have recorded a 3.5% growth in student enrolment since the start of the last academic year, with an addition of nearly 10,000 students. 

As per new infographics on the Dubai schools sector released by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the emirate now has 215 private schools, 21 of which have opened in the last three years.

The infographics have also featured the figures from the KHDA parent survey that was conducted this year. The survey was completed by more than 70,000 parents. According to the survey, 87% parents said they are satisfied with the quality of education their children receive in Dubai.

The report also noted that almost half of all teachers in Dubai were under 40, with India, UK and Egypt making up the top three nationalities.

Key figures from the Spring Edition of the KHDA landscape reports the total number of schools in Dubai as 215 while total number of students in Dubai are 289,019 students and total number of Emirati students in Dubai schools are 30,515.
