The Emirates Schools Establishment issues new measures for public schools

The measures applicable to teachers and administrative staff attending schools physically will be put into effect starting Jan 17, 2022

Dubai, Jan 16, 2022: The Emirates Schools Establishment (ESE) has announced new measures for administrative staff and teachers of public schools.

The new measures include dividing the teachers, administrative and technical staff into groups. The working hours should not be more than 50 per cent. Schools are required to provide separate rooms for teachers and administrative staff and prevent the staff from mixing up. Meetings should be conducted virtually.

The measures applicable to teachers and administrative staff attending schools physically, will be put into effect starting Jan 17, 2022 until Jan 21, 2022.

The authority has also urged school administrators to ensure that their staff has been vaccinated and adhere to the COVID-19 requirements, including wearing face masks and maintaining physical distancing whenever they are at the school premises.

In case someone tests positive, measures will be taken, including the group where the person has been found positive, to switch to  remote working.

Those who want to visit school premises must have a Green Pass on their Al Hosn app.

Gatherings at all times that also include sharing meals or drinks during breaks should be avoided by teachers and administrative staff in their offices.

School administrators must warn cleaning companies to ensure that their cleaning staff are not present during the official working hours.
